Safari Champ

We were invited to Vittoria’s third birthday party. It was at Safari Champ on Saturday, February 18, 2012.

They had a great area for children that were under the age of three.

You enjoyed going down the slide. You went down the slide many, many times.
You enjoyed going down the slide in the toddler area.
Fun!

There were fun toys for you to play with.

Pretty Girl!

Then you saw the big slides. You were determined to go down them. You took my hand and guided me over to where they were. You were going to conquer these slides.

Climbing up to where the big slides were.
Up, Up, Up
Weeeeee!

You did wonderful on the big slides. You did not want to go back to the toddler area. You are so brave and determined. It was hard for me to let you go down the big slides. I kept thinking of the worst possible scenario. You did great and you amaze me every day.

We enjoyed some great food and a delicious cake.

We sang ” Happy Birthday”

I was looking through all the pictures and I came across the one below. Somehow you managed to sneak in a taste of the cake.

This is your little hand.
Yummy!

We had a great time.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Our second Valentine’s Day was a lot of fun. We did fun girly crafts all day. I was not able to snap a picture of our creations because you decided to pour water all over the table.

We then had a romantic taco dinner! We ate our meal by candle light.

You wanted Elmo to join us at the table.

I love you!!!!

Happiness!

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

These are all words that describe how I felt about spending this last Christmas with you. You loved all the lights and trees and decorations. Everything was Santa. You would see a Christmas tree and smile while saying Santa. You would see anything Christmas related and call it Santa. You loved all of it. I loved showing it all to you. You brought me back to seeing the Joy in the lights and the reason for the season. We had fun talking about Jesus and why we actually celebrate Christmas. Your little voice was cute saying Jesus. You make my entire being smile. You are pure JOY!

Here are some memories that I captured from your second Christmas.

Carriage Ride

Sweet Daughter of Mine, I LOVE YOU! I love everything about you. You are cuddly, funny, active and very smart. I enjoy being with you during the day. I enjoy seeing the world as you do.

Today you and  I went to the Domain to ride a horse-drawn carriage. The line was a little longer than what I wanted. Thank goodness the family in front of us was able to hold our place so we could walk around. As we were walking around we found some nice folks to take our picture by the big tree.

While we were waiting we took some pictures of ourselves.

It was finally our turn to take the carriage ride.

Here we are on the carriage.

I love Christmas time. It is my favorite holiday. To have you with me makes it even more magical.

One Year Check Up

Sweet Girl,

We went to your 12 month check up on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. We met with Dr. Andrew at 2:30 pm. You weighed in at 21 lbs 2 ounces. You measured 29 inches long. You are in the fiftieth percentile for your height and weight.

You showed the doctor all the neat things you can do. One of the things you showed him is that you can point out your: Nose, ears, head, hair, tongue, mouth and toes. You showed him how you can drink from a straw. The doctor said that you are doing things that 18 month old babies do. You are advanced and developing wonderfully!

Here are your 12 month pictures.

This has been a wonderful year! My life has changed so much since you were brought into this world. I have never loved like I do now. You put a smile on my face every morning!

Love,

Mom
