I love you so much

Sophia,

I wanted to write down the lyrics to a song that I am constantly singing you. You love it when I sing this song to you.  You become so cuddly. I treasure each of these moments with you. I know one day you will be too big to sit on my lap. You will be too knowledgeable of what good voices sound like. You will learn that my voice is  not so good. I live for each current moment with you. I cherish each minute and memory I get to have with you.

Nine Month Doctor Appointment

Daughter,

It was very surreal when I made your nine month doctor appointment. I could not believe that nine months had already gone by. You are such a joy to have that I did not even look up to notice how quickly time was flying by.

We went to your nine month check up appointment on July 8, 2011. Your length measured at 27 1/4. You are still in the 75th percentile for height. You weighed in at 17 lbs and 14 ounces. You are in the 35th percentile for your weight. The reason you did not gain a lot of weight from your sixth month appointment is because you began crawling at 6 months. You are so active that the doctor was happy that you even gained what you did.

I can not believe all the things that you can do at nine months. The one thing you love to do is give and blow kisses. It is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen. I am amazed by your achievements. You are always wanting to try something new. You are a wonderful baby. You hardly cry and love to smile at everyone. I can take you everywhere with me because you are always so well-behaved. We could be at a two-hour dinner and you are as happy as can be throughout the entire event.

Steve’s First Father’s Day

For your Dad’s first Father’s day we planned a surprise trip to  Fredericksburg.

Mother’s Day 2011

Sweet Girl,

I am so blessed to have you in my life. My first Mother’s Day was magical and filled with your smiles and laughter.

For Mother’s Day presents we went to a photographer and got the cutest picture books made. They turned out adorable. Here are some of the pictures from the photo shoot.

Mopsy flew in from California to be with us over Mother’s Day. We drove from Austin to Mineral Wells to spend a magical weekend with the girls.

On Mother’s Day we went to lunch at a great restaurant. We were joined by Aunt Carmen, Anthony, Mopsy and Great Grandma Sophia.

We had a wonderful weekend. It was great to be able to spend time with you and the ladies in my life that mean so much to me.

Six Month Doctor Appointment

My Darling,

My love for you grows every day. It is amazing how your little smile just lights up my day. I feel as though you have always been with me. I can not remember my life with out you.

On April 11, 2011 we went to see Dr. Andrew Cavanaugh for your 6 month check up. You were measuring at 26 3/4 in length. You are still in the 75th percentile for your height. You weighed in at 16 lbs and 2 ounces. You are in the 50th percentile for your weight.

You are growing at a great rate! You are a beautiful and smart girl.
